Excellent Holiday We were thrilled with our accommodation, all was spot on! Despite the dismal weather we managed to be fully entertained at the house. We would certainly recommend Ricks Gone Coastal to all.
This was the perfect getaway. The property is very private and the views are amazing. It’s very well appointed and has everything we needed. Being on a peninsula you get sea views from both sides and the sunsets from the hot tub are spectacular. Rick even went out of his way to find us a surfboard to borrow for our son to use at the local beach. Thanks so much we will definitely be back.
We had an amazing time during our stay here, the brand new pool was incredible! Rick was a fabulous host, he made sure we had everything we needed and gave us local insight into tips for beaches. House was extremely spacious and well spread out and made it ideal with travelling with 2 families . Highly recommend and we will be back!

The house is spacious, immaculately clean, and full of unique character, with stunning sea views from both the front and back. All bedding, linen, and towels were provided and were spotlessly clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our family had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the pool and spa. One of the days was pouring with rain and thunderstorms, and Rick was incredibly kind in allowing us a late checkout until 1pm so we could still make the most of the pool, spa, and the house before heading off. A wonderful stay overall, we would happily return and highly recommend this place.
We had a fantastic weekend away at Gone Coastal. The place was perfect for our group of seven friends. The house is spacious and very comfortable, with well-set outdoor areas to enjoy at any time of the day. The views from both decks are amazing. The spa was the cherry on the cake. I was part of a group on a 5 day retreat. Wonderful spacious accommodation. Clean and well designed and organised Set in beautiful gardens with fabulous views. The couch in the living room is to most comfortable I’ve experienced! I highly recommend this wonderful place.

We stayed at Ricky’s property for 5 nights over New Years and it was absolutely perfect for a larger group of friends. Plenty of space, spa was amazing and made for a good activity when it wasn’t quite beach weather. We loved our time and look forward to coming back sometime!
The views were gorgeous, and the house had everything we needed. We were in town from the U.S. for a family wedding, and we wanted a place that was practical but still made us feel like we were on vacation. The house was lovely and so well furnished. We highly recommend this property!
This is a beautiful large home located on a hillside with views over rolling green hills to the ocean and the other outlook the harbour. Stylish and spacious with excellent amenities. Grateful for the washing machine after days spent surfing and swimming at the local Ocean Beach. Highly recommend it for large families. A impressive entrance through a large beautiful garden. House more than met our expectations. Spacious with large lounge and kitchen area’s. Dinning table handled our group of 9 with heaps of room for several more. Lovely views in all directions and well situated for access to local attractions. Thoroughly recommended and would stay again.

A beautiful big property with the most sunning views from both sides giving you beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The location is wonderful with Ocean Beach just a few minutes drive. Rick provided a hair chair and cot for our baby. Rick was quick to respond any questions enquiries.

A very relaxing holiday by the sea yet with a rural atmosphere. access to surf beach and sheltered Urquharts Bay , Smugglers cove, amazing. Lots of great walks in the area. Rick the Manager (owner) is great to deal with.

An exceptional place to stay – one of the best we have ever stayed at in NZ and a great host too. The place has such fantastic views over the Pacific on one side and the harbour on the other. The owner has done a fantastic job maximising the enjoyment of the views through the way that the outdoor seating is set up. The property is incredibly well presented throughout and has everything you could possibly need for a family break. The highlight had to be sitting in the Spa listening to the Kiwis. Will definitely be back
